In Gustie's words "This is the worst coloring eggs experience ever, Mom". Coloring eggs started off with a small spill of the blue dye. Some how Gustie did it. I sent her to get a cleaning rag and as she cleaned up the spill she finished off the cup by knocking it on to a fabric covered chair. The chair could only soak up so much of the dye so the rest of the liquid ended up splattering on to the floor, hitting the tile flooring (and carpeting), bouncing back up to get the underside of my cream table cloth. We had blue everywhere and I began to panic. We worked together turning our hands and feet blue to sop up the dye and clean off the carpet before it stained.
After the egg coloring episode for the year, (whew. . .), the girls wanted to mix the colors to see what happens. I think they are related to their father. So I gave them a mixing bowl to collect all the dye. And you guessed it, Gustie wanted to see into the bowl, leaned on the edge, and all over Gustie's clothes and the floor was brown dye. I love you Gustie, your going to be a good Mom some day.

This year red dye soaked through to our wooden table. It wasn't coming off too quickly so we thought it had stained things for good. But after using some baking soda and water it came out no problem. Hopefully your stains weren't too hard to take care of. This will be a family memory you'll remember for a long time! (smile)
