DRURY INN Hotels

With five days of travel and four nights spent in hotels each way we have come across a favorite hotel. The Drury Inn is our favorite because of their breakfast (lots of options), free 1 hour long distance phone (we don't have a cell phone), and a evening snack of popcorn and pop in the lobby (we love popcorn).
When we arrive the first thing we do is unload the truck then we like to take a tour of the hotel. This gives the kids a chance to run around and release some stored up energy. Once we were called by the guest down stairs asking us if everything was OK; Sam was running back and forth and jumping and crashing to the ground! Now when we get a second floor room Ace test the sound barrier by jumping up and down to check if our neighbors below will hear us. If it fails we ask for a ground level room.
This hotel has a circle hallway so the kids can do laps. I can smell popcorn!
Pretty lights that hang from the 5th floor and can be seen in the lobby. I kind of feel rich (thanks Mom & Dad).
OK another picture to keep your neck loose: it won't turn! I've tried five times. So you'll have to look at us sideways. This shot in front of the Christmas tree started a series of pictures of our family in front of Christmas trees along the way.
We also like to unwind with some swimming if possible. At this hotel the pool is half indoors and half outdoors which leads to some cold water. Notice Ace the swimmer sitting on the edge of pool.
Cherry Pie ready to go swimming but the water was just to cold for anyone who wanted to stay warm. Mind you we are now from a southern state.

The hotel looks fun. Our kids love hotels, I'm not sure why. They get so excited about them and talk about them for weeks afterward.

Do they sometimes make you get two rooms? We worry about that with our family of five.

This hotel never ask how many kids but, weve been to others who have and so we just say no thanks and move on to hotels that allow us to stay together.

We stayed at a Drury Inn a while back, and you're right, they do have a lot of breakfast options, including make-your-own Belgian waffle.
