Kidney Stone Series: Chapter 9

Dec. 19th - Ace visits the urologist for a stint removal. Doctor said there was no kidneys stone. But, he would like Ace to have a grand finale CAT scan. He wanted to know how soon we could get the scan done since it was closing in on the end of the year. (insurance deductibles) We were leaving the next day for Christmas vacation and wouldn't return to the area until next year.
While scheduling the CAT scan I asked if there was anyway possible to have it done today. The receptionist found an opening in an hour and off we rushed to have a CAT scan done.

Dec. - While on vacation we get a phone call announcing that there is no kidney stone but the kidney was swollen (probably from the stint removal). The Dr. would like an ultra sound done to make sure the kidney is ok. UGH!

Jan. 11th
- Ace gets ultra sound and later finds out kidney is back to normal. Gets a little scare from the nurse doing the ultra sound who says it looks like there is a kidney stone in your right kidney. But, doesn't know for sure since the radiologist will have to read the report.

Jan.15th - Gets thumbs up form Urologist to proceed with getting his physical for his medical renewal. I guess there wasn't a stone in his right kidney Thank You Lord!

Jan. 29th - Goes in for physical with a huge file of paperwork with all he has had done. Dr. says he looks good but will have to send in paperwork for the FAA surgeon to look at. The Dr. said there is a back up at this time and it could be four or five weeks before we hear back.

Wow - that's a lot of medical reports and procedures! We'll pray and hope for good news soon.

Hi! Thanks for your suggestion on the preschool cirriculum. I had looked briefly at some info online about Rod and Staff so it was good to get a real review. :)

I've been checking in on your blog too- since fall 2006 when we decided to come to NTMC. :) Thanks for saying hi!
