Trail of Treats

Here in Williston they have a designated trail to trick or treat at. It's really all the local businesses that put out the treats instead of residential homes. It felt to me like a backwards Parade, all the treaters march up and down the sidewalks down main street while the cars drove slowly down the road watching all the trick or treaters. It's a crowded event. At times we would stand in long lines to get our treats. Yet, what really stood out in my mind was the light we shined in the midst of a dark holiday. The Glidewells are taught to say thank you after being given a treat. I noticed how their thank yous would always lighten the treat givers heart almost as if it was the only thank you they heard that night.

Matt 5:16
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

I love the costumes! Samara wore her Laura Ingalls dress and bonnet Todd's mom had made for her, and Hannah just wore jeans and a shirt with pumpkins. I'll post some pics soon on our blog.
